A Sarkar’s Magic Doing Wonders in Director Raja Chanda’s film, Magic, starring Ankush Hazra

The 2021 Bengali film ‘Magic’ directed by Raja Chanda was a film that had left the audience awestruck and spellbound created by a stunning casting team that believed in the power of magic. Belonging to the category of magic-realism, the film was a huge hit, smashing the blockbusters with its super talented cast, starring Ankush Hazra, Oindrilla Sen and Payel Sarkar.

The film produced in the Bengali language and being a psychological thriller film with its interesting plot line had turned the attention of all the spectators. And why not? Just like the name of the film, magic was served abundant to the audience.

Besides the interesting cast of the film, the film had important contribution by none other than magician A Sarkar and his Magic World. All the scenes in the film that included magical tricks were carefully crafted and directed by A Sarkar himself. A Sarkar had worked very closely with Art Director, Tapash Sarkar to decorate the entire stage to bring the effect of magic so close to the audience. Apart from that, magician A Sarkar made valuable contribution in designing the Green Room along with the Magician’s house with interesting magical set-up.

Mention must also be made of magician A Sarkar in actually helping the lead actor, Ankush Hazra and Debsankar Halder, (who played the role of the actor’s father in the film) in learning different magic tricks performed in the film.

In fact, of the many scenes in the film that incorporated magic, one of the most interesting scenes in the film that incorporated magic in the film was a roadside scene involving snake chartmers (madaris). The scene again was crafted and directed by A Sarkar himself.

The film was released under the banner of SSG Entertainment and was successful at the box office.
